Darwin Community Legal Service

 

The program is run in the Northern Territory by the Darwin Community Legal Service (DCLS). The team is compiled of the following people:

 

 

 

Saskia Strange – Community Outreach Worker

Saskia Strange is the Community Outreach Worker at Darwin Community Legal Service. She is currently studying her Bachelor of Laws at Charles Darwin University.

Saskia has a vast interest in sport and has enjoyed playing netball, being a ballet dancer (including a performance at the Byron Bay Festival!) and long
distance runner. She also hails from a football family.

Saskia has worked at the Institute for Aboriginal Development and has managed a children’s service for a decade and worked in a myriad of social justice organisations, including voluntarily. She has vast experience in indigenous and CALD Communities and has designed health promotion materials for these groups.

Caitlin Perry

Caitlin Perry is the Executive Director of the Darwin Community Legal Service, a position she has enjoyed for over a decade. She holds a Bachelor of Economics from Sydney University, a degree that has assisted in her many decades of service in the social justice arena.

Caitlin is a multi medal winning paddler, with the Arafura Dragon paddlers club and has represented Australia at the International Championships in 2004.

Caitlin currently sits on numerous committees and volunteers for many groups such as Northern Territory Council Of Social Services and the National ProBono Resource Centre. She has worked at a range of community services, including women’s services, community housing and legal centres.
